Available Support

Our organisation, AADDS Inc. offers support meetings:

 

 

AADDS Meetings:

Day:   

Held on the first Tuesday of every month

Time:   

From 7.30pm

Place:   

302 South Road, Hilton, SA

In the Conference Room at the front of the building

Cost:   

$2.50 person

Includes coffee, tea and biscuits

 

Information packs are available at $5.00 each

Adolescents from 13 years old and their parents
are welcome as well.

AADDS also offers detailed information on this disorder in the form of:

  • Extensive lending library through the DIRC Library, 195 Gilles Street, Adelaide (or via the inter-library loan system for country areas).

  • Various articles on ADD/ADHD.

  • Information on where to obtain professional assessment and treatment.

  • Quarterly newsletters to inform members of local and world wide developments.

  • Guest speakers will be invited to inform the group on relevant topics.

 

 

 

Psychiatrists

Psychiatrists are able to diagnose adult ADD/HD and other disorders of thought and emotion, prescribe medication, and refer patients to other services as required.

 

 

 

Psychologists

Psychologists can assess IQ, behaviour, general development, and educational strengths or weaknesses. Many provide counselling, behavioural and/or cognitive therapy, and social skills training. Psychologists are not able to prescribe medication.
